Back Pain

Back pain maybe something a large chunk of our population
suffers from and one of the leading causes for doctor’s visits at
some stage.  It’s not uncommon and not a virus that needs
medicine but doctors do believe that a good La-Z-Boy can help as a
part of home care.

What is Back Pain? A symptom that can arise form many

La-Z-Boy’s or recliners may help with back pain for the simple
reason – you are taking the weight off your back.  By sitting
in a reclined position or lying on your back you are resting your
spine. To recline is much better than sitting up straight as this
position still makes you contracting your muscles. Dr’s also
believe this is because the full body support offered in a
reclining chair or sofa from the upper back down to your legs
relaxes nearby muscles, ultimately taking stress away from the
painful area.

Elevating your legs and reclining will support your back. Having
a recliner with the capacity for multiple reclining angles helps
more than anything else. 68% of doctors recommend recliners for
muscle strain and also pregnancy related back pain so that the back
is reclined and legs are elevated.

According to doctors, the types of back pain that are
mostly alleviated by sitting in a reclining position at home are
muscle strain (77%); degenerative changes (61%) and
pregnancy-associated back pain (60%).

Back Pain Gone a customer’s confession below

“I had back pain for the past 16 years. I recently purchased
a used La-Z-Boy recliner. I brought it home moved the couch out of
the living room. I sat in the recliner and watched TV for several
hours then went to bed. The next morning when I go out of bed,
something was different; my back pain was “GONE”. Somewhat shocking
that a recliner could accomplish what, chiropractors, DR’s,
physical therapy, inversion tables and meds had little effect on.
The back ache has been gone for a few weeks and the only thing
different is I now site in the recliner. I will be buying a new
La-Z-Boy in the near future.”
